A LOVE STORY. In four parts. Part 2

See them buying furniture, adopting two cats, crazy in love.
They even have “their” neighborhood restaurant, where the owner often sends them wine on the house.
She’s happy. He’s happy. And it feels so good.
And they talk about what’s next, laughing and teasing each other.
He wants Europe. She wants a baby. And she wins.
But does she?
They have absolutely no idea what they’re getting into.
The baby is a boy, he brings her a huge bouquet of daisies, her favorite flower.
The baby is awake a lot and cries a lot. But he helps with the baby, he’s good with the baby and it’s something they can share.
And sex gets put on hold. They’re both so incredibly tired all the time.
And the devil is watching them.
One night he comes home from an office party, totally looped, and it’s so funny, he’s bouncing off the walls and they’re both laughing.
She takes his hand, leads him to the bed thinking finally, finally.
And he promptly falls asleep. So there will be other times, she tells herself.
The baby grows, he takes up a lot of energy, and they are enchanted with parenthood.
And so, in a few years, they have another baby. And he brings her a huge bouquet of daisies, and it’s still her favorite flower.
And life is good, it’s very good.
But the sex…there’s more of no sex than sex.
Does it bother him? Does it bother her? They tell each other, no, of course not.
They tell each other it’s fine, everything is fine, life is good.
It’s all good.
