Emerging Writers

Over the past several years, I’ve noticed that many of my friends and colleagues were taking creative writing classes and workshops.  Clearly, many were already good “professional writers.”  Most of us write as part of our jobs—advertising, sales proposals, staff reviews, financial collateral.  Even the everyday white paper or memo takes skill.  But there seems to be a need to flex the creative muscle, and many of us think we have “at least one book” in us, or a collection of short stories, or blog.

Friends of mine who have shared their work with me, although all taking their own unique approach, have two things in common.  First they are really skillful and attentive writers maintaining strong focus on their craft, and second, they have some pretty incredible stories to tell.  When I decided to build this blog, I knew it would be a perfect platform for new writers to have a space to publish their work and get feedback from serious readers.  We will be introducing authors one by one.  Please follow them and provide feedback.  Share the links with others that you think would enjoy reading this new work.  Trust me, it’s good!
