Book Club! In Short Reviews is Hummingbird’s book review series. We say “Book Club” because we really want to get a conversation going if you are so inclined! Slow Horses

The first in the Slough House Series of books about British espionage agents who due to career screw-ups have all been relegated to a department for misfits to complete their failed careers--hence the title Slow Horses. Part of this team, through a set of circumstances, find themselves thrust to the forefront of solving a terrorist kidnapping and assassination plot. The great assortment of characters are tragic, yet humorous. The book is fast paced, with lots of twists and a surprising ending. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
