WHERE HAVE ALL THE POPPIES GONE?

WHERE HAVE ALL THE POPPIES GONE?

WHERE HAVE ALL THE POPPIES GONE?

World War I veterans used to sell red crepe paper poppies to honor those who had died in that war. Now all these veterans are dead, and no one is selling the poppies, and it’s sad.

This Memorial Day I got to thinking that war didn’t end with World War I.

There’s World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan - and all the men and women who came home in flag-draped coffins.

They deserve our recognition, too. I want to see the poppies return. I want us to show respect and remember the men and women who gave their lives. Not a single one deserves to be forgotten.

I want to see the poppies return.

I want to see Memorial Day honor all who died for this country, whether we think a particular war was righteous, or not.

It’s the right thing to do.
