Kindness Won.

Kindness Won.

My son Jamie ran a half Marathon on Labor Day.
That’s about 13 miles.
It was his first race since 2021,
when he was diagnosed with leukemia.
He has wonderful friends.
Two of them organized this surprise:
At different spots, all along the route,
one of his racing buddies joined him,
so that he was never running alone.
A huge crew crossed the finish line.
Together.
At about mile 5, there was a brief shower.
And a rainbow appeared.
And with all that positive energy,
Jamie ran faster than he expected.
And after the race, they all went out to breakfast.
Together.
