Just a couple of Editor’s Notes: What happened in 2020 that was significant is that blog posts were accessed in significant number (thousands) via google search. Indeed, the top three most read posts in 2020 were driven by higher level placements in google search results. This suggests opportunity to greatly enhance readership/exposure through SEO enhancement initiatives. While many of the “search” readers are not matriculating into “frequent flyers” — meaning readers that spend time on the blog, explore other blog posts, and come back, they did account for nearly 25% of pages read last year. Approximately 18% of our readers overall are accessing two or more pages per visit. Many, many thanks to you for following thehummingbirdpost. We have some exciting new ideas percolating for 2021!
