The Extraordinary Ordinary. Take Two.
Those Special Moments
Some time ago, Angela Rieck wrote a post titled The Extraordinary Ordinary. That phrase has stuck with me over the years, and especially now that life's circumstances have caused a temporary slow down of activities and at the same time presented some life choices worth pondering. For the past several days, life has felt pretty normal and with this backdrop I've found myself actually pausing and recognizing the "special" moments. Moments that are not "special" at all when special is defined as something out of the ordinary. Quite the opposite. They are moments of peace, maybe a laugh, a hand held or a smile, the compilation of which makes life extraordinarily rich and wonderful. Right now, I'll take a string of those to treasure. The extraordinary ordinary indeed.
