Just Folks. Sparkling Fuzzy Navel Cocktail

Just Folks. Sparkling Fuzzy Navel Cocktail

Sparkling Fuzzy Navel Cocktail.

The "fuzzy navel cocktail" is a well loved favorite of mine from the 80s when it first became popular. Of course, peaches, so plentiful and delicious now, make me feel nostalgic as summer comes to an end.

The basic recipe is in the sketch.  For less sweetness and added "peppery fizz" I've used seltzer and grated ginger. I also noticed that replacing the orange juice with lemonade makes it a more grown-up and tart tasting cocktail!

However you decide to make your Fuzzy Navel, just mix, shake and sip.  Using a a Mason jar makes it is a convenient traveler or fun beach-time refreshment.

So, here's to the end of summer everyone. Cheers and Happy Labor Day!
