Just Folks. STRAWBERRY SEASON

STRAWBERRY SEASON Evokes Sweet Childhood Memories.

I remember a sweet time from my childhood when my grandfather took my siblings and me to a U-Pick farm on the North Fork, just before school let out for summer. The rows of vibrant red strawberries stretched endlessly before us, our laughter mingling with the soft rustle of leaves as we popped the ripe berries into our mouths, their sweet, tart juices staining our hands. I can still hear the woman at the stand jokingly threatening to weigh us, knowing we’d eaten more than we gathered. Each time the strawberries arrive, it feels like a reunion with that joyful time—a reminder of the sweetness found in life's simplest experiences.
